Hillary recently served as my week-of wedding coordinator. Although my venue and catering company came with a coordinator from each location, I felt it was necessary to hire Hillary not only to ensure everything went smoothly on wedding week, but to serve as my personal advocate when all other coordinators and vendors may not see eye to eye. Unlike a coordinator that is assigned to you through a venue or a catering company, Hillary is someone that you can CHOOSE to work with. And you should choose to work with her, because she was made to do what she does. She served as a point of contact for all vendors and coordinators, my personal advocate, a stylistic genius and a catch-all person that made sure everything ran smoothly and was to my liking, keeping me in the loop on decisions that mattered and out of the loop on issues that didn’t serve me to know about. I did not have a wedding planner for my wedding. I am a very take-charge person, but come wedding week I was ready to pass the baton and enjoy my time with family and friends without stressing about little details. In order to pass the baton, I needed to know it was being handed to someone who truly knew what I wanted and was as detail-oriented as I was, as if it was their own wedding. Hillary is one of the only people I can think of to whom I would trust delegating my wedding details. Contrary to what you might believe (if you’re a control freak like me), planning gets super hectic as the day draws nearer, and if you want to relish in the moment of your festivities, I would highly recommend someone like Hillary to pass the wedding planning baton to! She’s amazing and I would use her for any and every event in my future! P.S. She also planned my Charleston bachelorette party and it was so personalized (not your typical go out and rage in Vegas party.) She planned a private yoga session on the beach, hired a private chef to do an in-home gluten free meal since I am celiac, and mapped out an outdoor shopping experience for us that was planned in exact order of which shops to go to and when for time efficiency. She knows her stuff! I’d recommend for anyone on any occasion!
